Hiroshi Nakachi was born in Osaka, Japan. He studied at Osaka University of Arts and Zurich University of the Arts. Since his time at Osaka University of Arts, he has regularly performed as a substitute tuba player with the Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra, and he has also played in Switzerland with the Strings Festival Lucerne, led by concertmaster Daniel Dodds.
Hiroshi studied under Anne Jelle Visser, Henrique dos Santos Costa, Hiroaki Shiomi, and Kazuhisa Nishida, and he has taken master classes with Fabien Wallerand, Chris Olka, Yasuhito Sugiyama, Tatsuki Yoshino, Koji Suzuki, Koichi Kawanami, Pete Link, Atsutaro Mizunaka, Taishi Furumoto, Jun Miyanishi, Tomoki Natsume, and Norito Usui.
