Parker Lee was appointed Co-Principal Timpanist of the MET Orchestra in May 2017. Additionally, he has served as guest timpanist with the National Symphony, Malaysian Philharmonic, Fort Wayne Philharmonic, and the Chattanooga Symphony. Parker holds a Bachelor of Music from Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, where he studied primarily with John Tafoya. He completed his graduate studies at the Cleveland Institute of Music, where he studied with Paul Yancich. Parker also studied with Ted Atkatz at Lynn Conservatory and Tom Freer at Cleveland State University.
